Conviction (The Consolation Duet, #2) by Corinne Michaels 4 stars!! “Life is cruel. Love is a joke. And not even death is final.” Conviction is another great read from Corinne Michaels. After the ending of Consolation I was on high alert for a lot of emotion and a lot of angst and Corinne Michaels delivered on both counts. This book is the first in the author’s Consolation Duet. The story is about Natalie’s decision to find love after her husband fails to keep his promise that he would make it back home. Natalie is angry at her husband and disappointed that he never got to meet their daughter or at the least offer their daughter the opportunity to meet him. Consolation is a book about grief, learning to live, learning to love and believing that it is ok to be loved once again. This is the first book of a duet and Conviction is out in two months and I cannot wait for it’s release. Natalie has appeared in Corinne’s other books and you may remember her as a grieving widow.
