Tijan goes in depth with Mackenzie's thoughts about Willow, Ryan's grief, and her family devastation. Therese Plummer told this story with so much emotion. I felt all the anguish, angst, love, confusion, anger of each and every character. Amazing narration. I wish I could give her 10 stars. This was the first story I listened to by Tijan. Ryan's Bed by Tijan My rating: 6 of 5 stars That would be utopia. If everyone was kind, if everyone was worthy. If there were no hatred, pain, or suffering. If people couldn't see someone's skin color, quality of their clothes, where they lived. If nothing mattered except the heart and mind. It's not often. Ryan's Bed is not my typical kind of read because I don't like to cry buuuutttt I couldn't resist a Tijan. It was a heavy read in the sense of the topic- suicide but not in the way I thought. It is told in the POV of the surviving twin. The story really captures you in the thoughts and mental processes of the grieving who are left after someone.
